when we were young and we had always wanted to grow up fast in the sense that we are too eager to finish school, get a job and exist by our own rules.
As we grow up,
things are getting perspicuous. We are discerned that those lollipops and candies could not be used to eradicate our tears, those sleepovers with our friends would turn out to be having sleepless nights to a certain person, those mini heart attack from seeing your elementary crush would enable you from giving yourself “false hopes”, the idea of putting those makeup for enjoyment was altered to hide those emotions you felt deep inside, those lemonade and chips were revamped by alcohols and cigars, those coloring books and dolls you had before was swapped with the social media we are using right now.
I want you to know,
we cannot mend something from a band-aid anymore, we cannot appraise a person to sleep when you know there’s something that bothers them, we cannot say everything’s fine when we are in our darkest days, we cannot just say “I love you” to a stranger right away, and we can’t do stupid things and leave it that way.
As days keep on passing by, keep in mind that we are no longer kids anymore because WE ARE GROWING UP.
As time keeps running out, keep in mind that we are no longer kids anymore because WE ARE GROWING UP.
We can’t comprehend about our life 10 years ago. It’s dissimilar from what we are facing right now. Yes, we are so excited to comprise everything about life.
There will be days of hoping to turn back the time and to start over again. Unfortunately, we can’t. We can’t just omit everything and change it into something new right away. We can’t just wipe those tears and pretend like nothing happened. In short, we can’t pause or set replays if we are so uncertain about the things we never expect to happen. Our destiny is right in front of us. We are capable of overcoming and espousing change as it is the best way to see the world ahead of us.
We’re not kids anymore who could just turn and make wishes into blowing of candles and wands. It doesn’t work that way because…
Remember, you longed for this ten years ago.
Live with it.
Always keep your faith alive.
Don’t give up.
We’re grown-ups now and we can’t turn back time anymore.
