In Today’s Blog, we give you a beautiful short film called Padala which means Remittance. This short film also earned awards with no sponsorships, producers and with a low budget in the making. It’s the passion and dedication of people behind this film to build a better understanding of the Filipino workers abroad and their sacrifices being away from home.
How It Started
It started in a bathroom photo shoot in August 2016 in an HDB block unit in Singapore that suddenly turned out to an idea to make an indie film about the real-life story of Overseas Filipino Workers all over the world. With the help of the Padala Crew, the talented actor Mark Hermoso, the director Takiro Dulce with his assistant John Fajardo, make up artist Amskie Canto Paguntalan and everyone involved in this film made this possible to put up an incredibly touching story of the Filipino Community. Enjoy the film and get ready with the tissue papers for your teardrops. And don’t forget to share this with your friends!
